The official opening of the Mongolian-European Cooperation Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EuroChamber Mongolia) took place on November 8 with joint organization and support from European Union funded "Trade Related Assistance for Mongolia" Project.
The chamber is to support European investment in Mongolia, to bring European business owners closer, to organize regular discussions between the Government of Mongolia and business owners, and to create value for its members. 50-100 members are expected to join the chamber in 2020. In aims of supporting small and medium enterprises, two members will also be representing the sector in the Chamber Board.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the European Union to Mongolia Traian Laurentiu Hristea, Chairman of the EuroChamber Mongolia Board Mark Gabel, and Director-General of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs V.Enkhbold attended the event.
